Exodus – Chapter 35

The people bring the stuff

God wanted theses offerings to be given from a generous heart. God loves cheerful givers (2 Corinthians 9:7). Our giving should be from love and generosity, not from a guilty conscience.

Verses 10-19 –Now they’re going to get their tabernacle. Moses asked people with various abilities to help.

Verses 20-24 – Generous people aren’t necessarily faithful to God, but faithful people are always generous. The gold, silver, jewels, linen, skins, and valuables were taken from the Egyptians when they left Egypt.

Verse 26 – The workers who spun the cloth made a beautiful contribution to the tabernacle. Whatever your vocation is, you should reflect the creative abilities God has given you.
