Here are some “giant” lessons I’ve learned.
Winning victories are extremely important to remember. In Old Testament times, God had His people pile up huge stacks of stones as reminders of His winning various victories on their behalf. These stones of “remembrance” were to remain for all to see.
When we face a huge situation in our lives, as if facing a giant, we are intimidated. Answer: “My God is greater!”
Sometimes it will get extremely lonely when we face our own giants. No one can fight that battle for us. When you’re facing a huge battle and you feel all alone, remember; it’s on the lonely battlefield where you will learn to trust God.
God will stabilize and sustain us. When we’ve prayed and spent time in His presence, we will know not to fear because we have the confidence that God has got this!
We are to remember the times God delivered us. We also are to tell others to encourage them in their battles of how good our God is.
Whatever your battle is today, the Lord wants us to turn our fear, worries, even our confusion, over to Him.
In Matthew 11:29, Jesus says, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gently and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls,” (Verse 30) “for My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
We give Jesus our worries and He gives us “Rest” from whatever is burdening us.
