God is Not Mad at You

The measure of faith

If you missed the previous writings, please go back and read them first.

If Satan can keep us preoccupied with our past through dredging up our feelings of guilt over past sins, then we can never be free to trust Christ as we live today. If we are never sure of God’s attitude towards us, how can we rely totally on Him to “give us all things pertaining to life?

The only way to come to a full understanding is to have total trust and belief in what transpired at the cross. The sin issue between man and God was dwelt with by the “One and Only” sacrifice that was given for you and me.

Ephesians 1:7 says, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” This forgiveness is not something we might have. We have it right now in the present. That doubt that creeps in of your past sin is from the enemy, not God.

Here’s another thing we need to keep in mind: We are forgiven of future sin also, because we weren’t even born yet when Christ died for us, so all of our sin was in the future. A lot of preachers and denominations will not preach this because they think it will give people a license to sin – Hey, most are already sinning. People need to know that they can have a newness of life, living on the inside of them to help them become everything our Lord and Savior wants for us. When guilt creeps in, cast it down, it’s not from the One who forgave it all!

Hebrews 10:10 – By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Verse 35) Therefore do not cast away your confidence which has great reward.

Satan is after your confidence that you believe God’s Word is true. It is impossible for God to lie. So don’t let guilty feelings of your past disrupt the great destiny Christ has for your future! He loves you and Hie’s not mad at you!
