Reconciliation

The measure of faith

Reconciliation means that the barrier between God and man – sin – has been taken away. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “…that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word reconciliation.”

So if the world was reconciled to Him, is the whole world saved? No, salvation is when a person”receives” Jesus, Himself. The whole world has not received because they have a choice to make, to receive Christ, or not.

God removed the barrier that was between man and God so that “whosoever” will come to Christ by faith can become alive in Him.

Colossians 2:13 puts it this way: And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.

That is why the only sin that will send a person to hell, is unbelief in the Only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

In John 3:18, Jesus spoke these words: “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

So, lets stop thinking that every time we mess up and fail in an area, that God is going to “Get us.” God’s work of reconciliation has already taken place. God did this “All by Himself.” He did it so that we might be saved, if you so choose. He wants a deep intimate relationship with you so you can start living the abundant life that He promised. I am going to explain this in detail with the next writing called: Identity in Christ.
