Psalm 70

Psalm 70

Author: David

Verse 1 – Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Make haste to help me, O Lord!

verse 2 – Let them be ashamed and confounded who seek my life; let them be turned back and confused who desire my hurt.

Verse 3 – Let them be turned back because of their shame, who say, “Aha, aha!”

When facing trouble or a crises, we all want God to rescue us immediately. We want a “suddenly” to happen in our favor, but only God knows when He’s going to do it and how. Oh, He will tell us in our spirit He is about to do something to help, but we usually don’t have all the details yet. He promises in His Word that He delivers us out of all our trouble (Psalm 34:19; 54:7; 50:15; and 57:1, 2) I do know though, that times of testing has to come in every Christians life in order to mature us. No matter what the situation, first cry out to our God who cares. He will answer.

Verse 4 – Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; and let those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!”

The Bible reminds us in Psalm 100:4, to “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name!”

Verse 5 – But I am poor and needy; make haste to me, O God! You are my help and my deliver, O Lord, do not delay.
