Do You Doubt God’s Willingness

The measure of faith

Have you believed the lie that Jesus won’t do what He says in His Word, for you?

Have you seen what you believe, come to pass on your behalf?

The problem is not that Jesus doesn’t have the power or the willingness to do it for you. I think, for some, there is a blockage of doubt that He will do it for “you.”

Too many, and I used to be one, start their prayers with, “Lord if it be your will… I know I don’t have the right to ask because I’ve done so many things wrong.” Because we are in Christ, we are to go boldly to the throne of Grace.

Put the breaks on and stop right there! Are you born-again? Yes, well then, do you think you really have to ask, “if it be your will to; save that person, heal, deliver, or protect you or someone else? We often think we don’t have the right to ask for healing because we’re unworthy. Not so. We think that Christ can’t use us because of that “Ole sin – consciousness.”

God placed “all your sin” on Jesus! God is fully aware of the wrongs we now do, while being His. And yes, He wants you to stop doing it, to yourself and to treat others right, but not because He’s going to reject you when you pray.

He loves you and wants each one of us to have that abundant life that Jesus died to give all of us. Sin is a thief of that life and it will destroy you (John 10:10).

The truth is, a lot of people make their sin greater than God’s grace. Don’t limit God because you connect it to your worth and value. You do have value, because Jesus died for you.

Another truth is, none of us deserve what God has given but because you accept and believe that Jesus is the Son of God, we receive that gift of grace!

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Every single person, at the end of the day, come up short of being perfect in all our ways. And we mustn’t think because we’ve done better than most, God won’t hear their prayers.” Grace is greater.

Our sin was dealt with at the cross “Once” (Hebrews 9:11, 12).

Please do not misunderstand what I’m saying. We do not continue to live as we did prior to coming to Christ. When there is a true transformation, you want to do right according to God’s standards. And yes, consequences are still going to be there that some will have to deal with according to their actions.

Your redemption is not “short-term.” Too many like to quote, “Once saved, always saved.” That’s only partially true. If you don’t believe me go read Hebrews chapter 6. My Bible teaches me, “If you continue in Him! You can’t make a little confession and then go about life as usual living anyway you seem fit. There will be a transformation of your life.

Or why else would Jesus have mentioned the “Lukewarm” when He was speaking to the church in Laodicea?

Revelation 3:16 – “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.”

He was talking to a body of believers in the church, so it does happen to the believer.

Please keep in mind, sin is not only what we have done, but also what we are not doing. James 4:17 – Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

So how do we get rid of this sin – consciousness to believe our prayers will be answered?

First of all, “Stop believing the lie from the enemy that God won’t hear your prayer when you pray because you weren’t perfect in every way, today. Start believing what the Bible says about your new birth. You are the “Righteousness of God in and through Christ.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 – For He (God) made Him (Christ) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (Christ).

After being born-again, Christ came to live in you, so when God looks at you He sees His Son. He hears your prayer because you are in “Right standing.”

The next time your pastor asks for those who know the power of prayer to come and pray for someone who needs healing, get your self up there and just do it! The Father is the one who does the work!

Mark 11:24 – “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

Those are Jesus Words and I make them mine. You are worthy to stand in His presence and make your request known to Him and He will do it. You will begin to see your prayers answered, because you believe and then you receive. God loves you!
